Angry Mob at DNC

[February 3, 2025]  “Peace out, bitches!”  So began the angry mob at the DNC Chair Forum, where they were to debate and select a new chairperson for the Democrat National Committee. In seven hours, the disruptions came often and nasty.  MSNBC Live carried the entire event, some of which I’ll reference.  This is an example of how not to run a forum.

On stage, eight people were contending for the title (which is not important here for this article). Three “moderators” failed to maintain any decorum. One audience member, presumably a Democrat, yelled, “Ya’ll work for billionaires or working people?”  Another was flying the Palestinian Flag in front of the people on stage in a show of solidarity.

The event was the first public meeting of DemocratsDemocrats since their defeat by Donald J. Trump in November last year.  One of the candidates chose to sing a song rather than give a 30-second opening statement.  I’m not sure the purpose of deviating from tradition, but she was not elected as the next DNC chair, and she probably knew the final result would not be in her favor.

What have the Democrats learned from the past four years?  “Hey, I want your attention.  I’m a black woman at this podium, and I deserve your attention like the people who went before me.”  I don’t know who she is, but most folks don’t like being lectured to by a politician who supposedly works for us.  We’re not in grade school anymore.  Arrogance?  Yes!

MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart asked a question of importance, at least important to Democrats.  “How many of you believe that racism and misogyny played a role in Vice President Harris’s defeat?”  Everyone on stage raised their hands.  But it gets better.  The entire audience wanted to be part of it and raised their hands.  “That’s good, you all pass,” Jonathan said.  The message here is that this is why they lost the election so badly.  If you fail to properly identify a problem, then you will never find a solution.  They failed.

“The rules specify that when we have a gender non-binary candidate or officer, the non-binary individual is counted as neither male nor female, and the remaining six offices must be gender balanced.  In order to be gender balanced, we must elect one male, one female, and one person of any gender.” – Person at DNC Chair Forum

And it continues to get better.

“And recognize that our country was built on Indigenous lands.” – Another Person at the DNC Chair Forum

Remember the rallies of Kamala Harris during the elections?  Yep, plenty of people interrupting and shouting down Kamala and her folks.  The Democrats cannot get through a single speech without their base screaming at them.

Of course, the police were at the DNC Chair Forum with a large presence and they were busy hauling out disruptive audience members.  I’m glad they never carried through with their Defund the Police policies.

MSNBC host Symone Sanders was interrupted so often, that it’s hard to keep track and I could tell that she was frustrated.  I’m no fan of her but it served no one that the audience acted like first graders on a lark in the park.  She deserved better but that is the Modus Operandi for Democrats.  How they get anything done is a miracle.

One interesting part was when host Symone Sanders assured their audience that none of the candidates were given the questions in advance.  It shows how much it hurt the DNC when legitimate concerns were raised while Kamala Harris and others were running.  There was an affidavit that claimed Kamala Harris received debate help in the form of actual or similar questions.  This is the ultimate result of Democrats rigging and cheating in their own elections.

I pity the Sign Language interpreter.
