[November 29, 2022] Babies are beautiful. I don’t think many would disagree with that statement. And there is nothing more satisfying in one’s life than to bring a newborn into the world. Surprisingly, there is the practice of abortion that runs counter to our connection with babies.
Once you have a baby, you realize the complexity, the struggles, and difficulties of caring for it. However, after about three months, you cannot imagine your life without the infant because the experience is so fulfilling. Your baby is one of the great peaks in life; you only get one chance to have that experience with that baby. Don’t miss that milestone.
The human baby is beautiful, but it is no surprise that other animal babies are also attractive. Walk with a puppy in your arms through any park, street, or shopping area and people will come up to you and say how cute your puppy is. Babies are particularly beautiful, and a biological predisposition exists to believe it. We are all attracted to babies.
As well, pregnant women are treated with deference. Even on the trains in New York City, passengers will give up their seats to an obviously pregnant woman when they usually won’t give you the time of day. We let them go ahead of us in line at the bank or grocery store, ask them if they need our help, and revert to chivalrous behavior like opening doors for them. This is a tacit acknowledgment of the high value of the unborn child. Like beauty, pregnant women and children have a value that cannot be denied. Our civilization, of course, depends upon it.
Yet, simultaneously there exists a contradiction between the value of babies and support for abortion (to voluntarily terminate babies in the womb) that so many in the West, especially Americans, hold dearly and almost religiously. We support the “right” of abortion, often up to the moment of birth, well after viability. This movement to terminate a pregnancy is strong.
This is cultivated through lies we tell young people today. For women, we tell them that there is nothing more important in their lives than their careers. We tell them “they can have it all” and that there is no difference between them and men. Implicit in these lies is that getting married and having children is an inconvenience, and those who want marriage and children are somehow socially inferior.
Abortion denies the beauty of a baby and its value. It denies the respect and admiration we give a pregnant woman. Abortion is a practice that dehumanizes us because it runs counter to everything we stand for, and it is built upon a lie. Babies are our future. They are what makes us human. We are lost if we decide that we are more important than babies.
Babies personify beauty and they are us.

General, an informative and impactful argument to undercut the pro-abortion argument. And that is all they are. Pro abortion because they are pure hedonists.
Gen. Satterfield, I do think you are not something very important. This blog post is a bit too complex and your points are not all clear (at least to me). I recommend breaking this idea into 2 or 3 articles and go from there.
Hi Pooch, maybe yes, maybe no. I think he is pretty straightforward here. Babies are beautiful and abortion destroys beauty. You can’t have both at the same time without serious conflict and beauty will win out in the end.
Babies are, indeed, beautiful.
Yes, but our privilaged neo-Marxist basement dwelling youngsters have been programmed to think otherwise.
This is what scares the extreme leftists and maybe others too. Beauty is a hard standard and better to look away from it and be immoral than take responsibility and be judged wanting.
Like most of us have noted before, abortion is an evil act. But evil cannot be stopped thru the laws of mankind. There must be an assault upon this evil on many dimensions, the first is the ground of morality and convincing people abortion has many negative consequences.
Sir, I am in full support of what you are writing about that abortion is just not wrong, but it runs against everything the human race has been built upon. We practice abortion with great and unknown risks to our society.
Welcome Al Centro. Yes, this is indeed a quality website built and maintained by Gen. Doug Satterfield and fully free. he also has this forum where we can comment and share info. You will not find someone that drags us down because they can’t last. And, I do agree fully with you that abortion is a pimple on the ass of society, one we can eliminate, not thru laws, but thru reason and moral understanding.
You can always support Gen. Satterfield by getting his book, “55 rules for a good life” and you will be happy you did.
Anytime we attack the practice of abortion, we will get serious blowback from those who have lost souls. I think that is what Gen. Satterfield is counting on here. He knows that only those who practice the lie that abortion is just on a clump of cells will be the end of their humanness, crush their souls, de-power them and estrange them from their families and friends. Nothing is more abhorrent than a voluntary abortion. Those performing the abortions are too lost souls.
Right and I wouldn’t even perform an abortion on a good dog.
BABIES ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Always. And the beauty scares liberals because it exposes their immorality and mortality. Both!
” Babies are beautiful. I don’t think many would disagree with that statement. And there is nothing more satisfying in one’s life than to bring a newborn into the world. Surprisingly, there is the practice of abortion that runs counter to our connection with babies.” – – General Satterfield. Nailed it.
Eye Cat, this will do down as one of the best quotes from Gen. S. I just love this website.
Right, general Satterfield kicking butt again.
And an American Patriot too. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
One of the best parts of this week’s articles. Thanks Eye Cat for pointing it out. When I first read the sentence, I thought, “oops, here goes General Satterfield making a monumental point that will draw serious fire.” Let’s see other than Commie Red who is just a shadow of the once great communist enterprise that failed so spectacularly in the 20th century.
Gen. Satterfield, before I forget, please accept my humblest thanks for what you are doing to help us all be better leaders and, firstly, better people. Well done. Oh, loved today’s article.
Gen. Satterfield, I read this article and found it refreshing and very informative. I will also note that I got your book and read it a couple of days ago. Great book. I recommend it. “55 Rules for a Good Life” and I would say a “great” life. Title change. Hope it’s okay?
My body, my choice
Commie Red, you’re a guy and guys can’t have babies. Altho you might think so. A baby inside a woman is NOT her body. So please stop using this sop. It belittles us all.
Audrey you nailed it. But Commie Red and all the Marxists don’t believe in the person anyway, so making this argument falls on deaf ears. Marxists are all about the “state”. People are throwaway components of the state. Only the leaders of the state matter and everyone else can just become cannon fodder.
Your body is your choice to do what you want with but the baby one carries is a separate life than your own.
Right Armywife. Good comment that is so often missed or just ignored.
Truly, babies are beautiful and whether the observation is biologically or culturally based is not important to me. But I think Gen. Satterfield has an excellent point with his article. And, this is a great extension of yesterday’s article on beauty.
Shawn, I agree, but I also think this short article is not sufficient to explain the idea well. It will take more and I do think that Gen. Satterfield will need to think thru his idea of linkage of beauty to babies and the antithetical abortion practice. This is something that can be exploited to drive home the idea that abortions should be banned or at least reduced greatly in number. That is our future, stopping abortion.
Bryan and Shawn, you both are on target. Get ready for Happy Christmas and cheers to all my American friends.
Highly recommend Gen. Satterfield’s blog post on “what is beauty.”

Emma, you’re right about giving this link to one of the most informative article ever here on this blog. ❤❤❤❤❤ I’ve changed my mind about abortion because I bought the propaganda on it for so long and now I thought it thru and believe abortion is disgusting.
…… if you want another view on how Gen. Satterfield sees things, then read his most recently book ….. get several copies for Christmas and hand them out to young people, ask them to read it and tell you want are their fav parts.
