[July 13, 2023] This year has been the kiss of death for woke companies pushing their transgender ideology and then suffering massive blowbacks. We all remember the first company to get destroyed, Bud Light beer. The boycott of the beer was so massive that now their name is used as an adverb, “bud lighted,” meaning to be destroyed from your own making. The latest is Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.
On the 4th of July (America’s Independence Day), Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream twitted that America should give back Mount Rushmore to the Indians they stole from. What’s happening now? A Native American tribe that previously “owned” the land where the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory is located in Vermont now demands that the company give the land back.
A classic UK Daily Main article title reads, “Ben & Jerry’s is accused of hypocrisy for calling on the US to hand over all ‘stolen indigenous land’ when its HQ sits on Native American soil in Vermont – as local chief calls for woke ice cream company to engage in talks.” That is one long headline that tells quite a story.
Virtue signaling by woke companies is bound to backfire. Ben & Jerry’s certainly did. How are they going to get out of this PR nightmare? Will they ignore it? Probably. Or, will they pay millions of dollars to walk their talk on wokeness? Unlikely. Talk is cheap. Oh, I’m just ordering a bucket of popcorn and watching from the comfort of my chair.
Ben & Jerry’s, Bud Light1, Target2, and the LA Dodgers3 want everyone to know how virtuous they are but not have to do anything hard or risk anything. That’s not working out so well, but companies keep doing it. Who will be next?

They deserve a melt down.
Sir, many not smart people exposing themselves.
You got that right, Jung Hoon Kim. Good to see you back here in the leader forums.
Gen. Satterfield, I just want to say thanks for highlighting these companies that go anti-American while, at the same time, only being successful because of America. Are they just that stupid? No. They are, like you said, virtue signaling. Talking the talk but not walking the talk.
Let’s all get on board with a boycott, NO … a cultural shift away from WOKE companies. Let’s send them a message that going after our kids with their trans ideology is a no-go zone. They crossed our red line and now they must suffer the consequences.
Lady Hawk, nailed it here folks. thanks.
POW, ” This year has been the kiss of death for woke companies pushing their transgender ideology and then suffering massive blowbacks. “
Don’t ya just love ❤ Gen. Satterfield and his daily blog? I sure do. And, now I’m onto my next boycott. This along with Bud Light, Target, and the LA Dodgers.
Hi RED, great to see you back on Gen. Satterfield’s leadership forums. Hope you have an article for us again soon. How have you been? Gen. Satterfield is on target, once again.
Hi Sadako Red, big fan of yours here. 😀
We are all big big fans of RED. Be sure to call him RED. That is how he likes it. What I will also add is that RED recommends Gen. Satterfield’s newest book “55 Rules for a Good Life.” Get your copy on Amazon and please also leave a comment, an honest comment. However, even with RED’s recommendation, it just makes plain good sense to get a copy (or more and hand them out) because the book gives some of the most important and condensed books ever.
Gen. Satterfield sure knows how to shoot fish in the liberal barrel of stupidity. Ben and Jerry’s ice cream is pretty good but I purposefully have not bought it in nearly 7 years because of their liberal slant. Thanks everyone for finally getting on board with the anti-American Ben & Jerry’s.
Yes Yes Yes, anti-American Ben and Jerry’s ice cream …. how ignorant can you get. Why would they do this?
Like Gen. Satterfield wrote, “Ben & Jerry’s, Bud Light1, Target2, and the LA Dodgers3 want everyone to know how virtuous they are but not have to do anything hard or risk anything. That’s not working out so well, but companies keep doing it. Who will be next?”
Don’t be too surprised. Liberalism is a mental illness.
