[June 29, 2014] A small group of 10-year old boys from northern Louisiana collected empty “coke” bottles to exchange for 2 cents each back in the early 1960s. My two friends and I would spend Saturdays scouring our small, no-traffic-light town for coke empties. This was my first memory of Coca Cola. We would each, maybe, make enough money to buy one 6.5-ounce Coca Cola for10 cents and a candy bar for a nickel.
There is no doubt that for over a century, Coca Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. has been an exceptionally successful company. It produces a product of good quality, at a good price, and treats its customers well. Much of this can be traced to adherence to a refined set of core values.
Company core values are1:
- Integrity: the foundation of all their relationships
- Respect and Trust: for associates, owners, consumers, and communities
- Quality: do no compromise their standards
- Excellence: they intend to be the undisputed leader
In addition to winning a number of awards, they have committed to hire more military veterans. Thanks to Coca Cola for their support of our veterans and local communities where they have made a big difference. This is a company where their leadership has a history of long-term success.

Coke Cola leadership is full of a bunch of socialist wannabes. They do not understand ethics, standards of behavior, respect for ALL (not some group to pander to), and have hurt their brand. Sales are down, no surprise there.
COKE DEMANDS THAT ITS LAW FIRMS ENGAGE IN UNLAWFUL DISCRIMINATION – good article from PowerLineBlog.com.

Looks to me like Coke’s core values don’t have obeying the law as one of their priorities.
