Courage:  Riley Gaines

By | July 11, 2023

[July 11, 2023]  For several years, I’ve had a series on courage (links here), and it is one of the more popular and garnering many comments across the political spectrum.  I’m proud to write today about a young lady who truly embodies the spirit of courage, and she is Riley Gaines, an American former competitive swimmer who competed for the University of Kentucky.  She is one of the female swimmers who competed against Lia Thomas, a large male swimmer who claims to be transgender to compete against women.

Since 2022, Riley Gaines has actively advocated against biological males competing in women’s sports.  Many see her as a political activist, and her motivations are “transphobic.”  I see her actions as just plain common sense.  Forcing women to compete against biological males, who are naturally larger and more robust than females, makes no sense.  And the majority of Americans think the same way.

In April of this year, she visited San Francisco State University for a Turning Point USA event and spoke about her campaign against transgender athletes in women’s sports.  After the event, college protesters threatened violence against Ms. Gaines; she was escorted to a classroom where she was forced to stay for three hours.  After the SFSU event, she rose to prominence as someone who stands against the unfair advantages of men competing in women’s sports.

In June, Ms. Gaines appeared as a witness at a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee hearing focused on “civil rights for LGBTQ Americans,” in which she shared her experiences competing with trans swimmer Lia Thomas and having to share the same dressing room.  You can see her testimony in this YouTube video (link here, 5:23 minutes).

I commend her for both her moral and physical courage.  Thank you, Riley Gaines.

I’m in strong support of Reilly stand. She is so right about biology men competition against women. Male do have a advantage because of the muscle. Why are so many transsexuals men try to prove. Could it be they weren’t that good as male in sport’s now they identified themselves as female give them a what they never were able to accomplish. Winning.

It is easy to love this website because Gen. Satterfield gives real life examples of moral courage. In this case, Riley Gaines has both moral and physical courage. She is an example of a true American Hero …. just like Gen. Satterfield.

If you love the idea of courage and want to be part of those who support those who are courageous, then read this blog. And, it is a way to send a message to the tyrant suckups like joe bitme that they are headed to the trashbin of hisotry.

      FREEDOM
      FREEDOM
      FREEDOM
… this is not what pres. Joe Biden or his ilk want. Just go and read Daily Favorites today on the injunction against specifically named US Government senior leaders in the Biden White House. Read them all. You will find that this is a real fight for freedom and one of the most important cases in American history. Thanks Ursala and I too hope that Riley Gaines reads it too and is encouraged by those real people she can know support her.

Max, thank you for pointing out my “daily favorites.” I purposefully posted these two legal documents so good people could see for themselves the war on freedom and who is on what side.

Gen. Satterfield, you have once again given us something to think about. I knew about this case and did some more reading after seeing your article. This is what fighting for freedom against the anti-free speech tyrant wannabes in college is like. Sometimes it is uncomfortable and dangerous. You go girl, Riley Haines.
