Every Month is Military History Month

By | February 2, 2025

[February 2, 2025]  A memorandum dated January 31 from the new U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth removes all recognizable history  “identity months.”  This is a long overdue initiative in the military and was a pet peeve of mine that I hated while I served.

“Identity Months Dead at DoD,”  reads the subject line. This memo was motivated by our senior leaders prioritizing pathetic pandering to “underrepresented groups.”  Until today, we were not laser-focused on DoD’s mission to deter our enemies or to fight and win if deterrence fails. But we should have known better.

Our military should be celebrating our heroes and our American people, not who we are attracted to sexually or for the color of our skin. Those who joined the military to fight our wars didn’t sign their life away to celebrate Pride Month or Black/Hispanic/Asian/or whatever History Month. Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and Coasties are there for America.

There will be some crying and whining about “how horrible the policy is.”  Next, it’s time to change the names of our bases back to what they were for so long. Political Correctness should not be a distraction. There should be no more social engineering attempts by Congress or anyone.

The change in policy will be good for us all. The American people have spoken loudly: we don’t want a Woke military.

Now, we need Pres. Trump to return our military bases to their original names. No excuses. No fanfare. No pandering. Just make it happen.

Got that right, Otto. BTW, I do suggest getting a copy of Gen. Satterfield’s books. That’s how he gets some compensation from his free articles.

I now recommend highly that everyone follow https://x.com/SecDef Pete Hegseth on X for up-to-date coverage as he goes about his job as Secretary of Defense. He is a man totally loyal to America. The last SECDEF Lloyd Austin was just not up to the job. Austin was an embarrassment to American, not stupid but just didnt understand strategically the world. Now we have someone new and young. I’m hoping that Hegseth is a better thinker too. Only time will tell what Hegseth is best at is communicating and something no one in the Biden Administration was capable of doing well. 🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷

Great article name, so thank young or that. As a combat veteran during Persian Gulf War, I always thought very little of DoD obsession with all these “pride months.”

Navy Vet, you’re right about these pride months that the US military trips over themselves to honor when they should spend less time trying to divide us and more time on team events, strengthening ourselves, learning basic weapons and tactical exercises. When we look to anything outside as a priority, we misss what our mission is and fail to “be all we can be.” Gen. Satterfield is doing us a favor by exposing the corruption I. Our senior officers and NCOs. We are now rid of this trash. Time to drive on.

It’s about damn time that all this crap PRIDE and Woke sh## goes in the toilet. All it’s about is gaining power to discriminate and harm straight people. If these nuts would just do their thing like the rest of us, there would be zero pushback. But, noooooo ….. they have to have Pride Parades with a bunch of naked dudes with their things hanging out, exposing themselves to children. Sickos. Yep, sickos. Did I trigger their feelings? Oh my! And in case you haven’t noticed, I’m gay.
