[August 21, 2023] It’s not too early to write about the upcoming U.S. Presidential elections because we are slowly discovering what makes the candidates tick. On the Republican Party side, there are many who declared; on the Democrat Party side, we are hearing little. Vivek Ramaswamy is one of the major contenders. What I like about him is that he does not hide his values or opinions. He is an open and highly energetic candidate. These characteristics will help him greatly with every day, honest Americans.
Vivek Ramaswamy has a Twitter account (now called “X”), and he is very vocal. He has 1 million followers. I recommend you join his X feed for more information.

Mr. Ramaswamy listed his 10 truths (access them at this X link). They are actually pretty good. He is very upfront and unapologetic about these. Here are the TRUTHs he is basing his campaign on:
- God is real.
- There are two genders.
- Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
- Reverse racism is racism.
- An open border is no border.
- Parents determine the education of their children.
- The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
- Capitalism lifts people up from poverty.
- There are three branches of the U.S. government, not four.
- The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.
Many disagree with him strongly. That is no surprise, but his reaction to those folks is excellent. He is willing to talk to and meet them anywhere, anytime, for a talk or debate. I haven’t seen any take him up on the offer. This shows courage, another vital trait of a leader. At least Vivek Ramaswamy is not running away or being coy about his actions or way of thinking.

I like the idea that Vivek Ramaswamy believes that the nuclear family is the core of success for a nation, esp. one that believes in God. Unfortunately, most of the crazies today believe the opposite and that drag-queen families are the best.
I think you mean what we used to call “broken” families. Liberals believe the best families are single mom families because they are so BRAVE. Puke to think of that.

Hi Rowen, the problem that Gen. Satterfield will have is that the Democrat Party candidates (if there are any other than Biden) do NOT list their ideas. They talk with flowery language that has little meaning and sounds really good. Then they simply ignore all their promises and blame everything that goes wrong on everything and everybody else. Biden is just the latest example. The Maui fire is an example. Biden blamed Climate Change … what a joke.

I’m holding off for now to see if he has my vote or Donald Trump. My inclination is Donald Trump, mostly because I believe he is the one to drain the Washington DC swamp. No one else has the guts or ability to take on the unelected bureaucrats in our nation’s capital. They need to be destroyed once and for all. It is rare that a man like Trump comes along to actually ‘see’ the problem with the swamp and then have the courage to do something about it. He makes lots of enemies this way. Americans need to rise up and support Trump.
