Israel can Win only by Winning the War

By | August 17, 2024

[August 17, 2024]  The Israeli war against Hamas is approaching its first anniversary, October 7th.  What the Israeli leadership understands, and the world does not, is that to win their war with Hamas, they must win the war against Hamas and the Palestinians who support Hamas. And, Israel can win!

What does “winning the war” mean?

To win this war means that Israel will no longer be threatened by Hamas or the Palestinian citizens in Gaza.  It means no more terror attacks, no more rocket barrages, no more kidnapping, the return of all the hostages taken by Hamas and Gazan citizens (including the dead), the total destruction of Hamas’ military and governance abilities, and the occupation of Gaza to ensure the Palestinian culture of death is expunged completely.

In his book, “Israel Victory: How Zionists Win Acceptance and Palestinians Get Liberated” (2024), Daniel Pipes lays out a path for Israel to win the war with Hamas and achieve a lasting peace.  To do so, “Israel must finally win and impose its will on its enemies.”  This is how lasting peace was imposed on Japan and Germany after WWII, and it is based on the lesson learned when lasting peace was imposed on the American South after the U.S. Civil War.

Pipes believes Israel should follow the same strategy.  This is not the same as the “peace processors” like the late politicians Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin, who worked with America to achieve and were made famous for their failed efforts.

To liberate the Palestinians means that they must accept the traditional end of war that they have been totally defeated.  “Palestinians give up, Israel wins.”  Pipes recommends minimal violence and maximal messaging to ensure the culture of death is destroyed once and for all.

There is a difference between “winning” and “victory.”  Victory is a self-declared phenomenon, a modern perversion of a peace process to placate an undefeated citizenry.  Winning means the unfettered crushing of your enemy and your enemy’s acceptance of their failures and defeat.

Pipes believes both sides need an Israel win to break the long-standing pull of a peace process without results.  It means acceptance of Israel by the West and also among Muslims and political Leftists.  This is how Palestinians can finally be liberated from the death culture and reject their current goal of destroying Israel.  This is how they can grow economically, socially, and politically and finally reach their potential.

How to win. You win, they lose. This is the ONLY solution here. Every other solution has been tried and billions and billions have been spent trying other solutions. The only solution is the one Gen. Satterfield recommends and that is the destruction of the Palestinian culture of death. This is why nobody wants them. And we don’t want them either.

Indeed, this is the heart of the idea. Then we can only pray for their souls.

Doug Satterfield is telling us, indirectly, that the “new” forms of warfare like in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq were not fought properly and so we still have the enemies of the world still around. But the solution is like the US Civil War and WWII – maximum destruction until the enemy believes he has lost and gives up.

I just ordered Pipes’s newest book from Amazon and it will be delivered in less than a week. What I read about the book from comments others have written, much of what is there is a look at the past and the past largely as a failure and the spending by Western nations that ultimately went into the pockets of Muslim leaders who bought themselves lavish homes and cars and security to protect themselves and their people remained poor and zero progress was made. Arafat of the PLO is just one of many examples. The West, esp.America is so gullible it makes me sick.

Good, you ordered the book. And do will I. But I will also encourage you Judy to order Gen. Satterfield’s book “55 Rules for a Good Life” that takes a more personal/philosophical approach to living better. I read the book three times now (it’s not a big book and can be read in a couple of days easily). Get your copy before it is gone.
