[March 28, 2024] The idea that no culture is superior or inferior to any other is not new. We call this way of thinking Cultural Relativism and is an outgrowth of the ideology of multiculturalism. Many firmly believe this to be true and aggressively defend that position on the grounds that morality knows no bounds, and thus, the value we possess to exist is in of itself an equal good.
If we were to look at measures of cultural success, we immediately find pushback just for making an argument contrary to this belief in cultural equality. I’m not sure why anyone would think we cannot find cultures that are “better” than others because this is obviously untrue.
In a review of data from Denmark, we can see immigrants and their descendants were convicted of violent crimes at a significantly higher rate than those of Danish origins between 2010 and 2021. What is unique about the data is that it was arranged by country of origin, a marker for culture, and it presents a dark picture for those immigrating from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) nations.
But is the measure of violence a proper measure of a “good” or “bad” culture? If this measure is correct and can be duplicated to show a trend, then yes, I believe we can say any culture where violence is endemic is not a good culture. We can go further, and we should. Significant and modern laws that protect the innocent, recognize property rights, and provide equal protection under the law are leaps in cultural advancement and signify a better culture.
At the bottom of the violence scale are Japan, the United States, Australia, and other European countries. This is not to be dismissed for the same reason we see the failed state of Haiti compared to the Dominican Republic, a prosperous state – culture matters. A look into the history of these two side-by-side nations tells an interesting story.
The debate over whether one culture can be better or worse will continue to rage. But the results are in. Some cultures are superior to others.

Please read my books:
Gen. Satterfield is on top of a long-debated topic but anyone with any common sense and a brain cell, knows that Western cultures are better than non-Western cultures. This doesn’t mean those people are evil or somehow bad, but they just have lower standards of living, more disease killing them, higher suicide rates, higher alcoholism rates, higher crimes, etc.
Tom, I’m not exactly sure you have that right. Maybe some like to live in a totalitarian society like N. Korea, Venezuela, China, or Russia. Maybe they like the oppression. Ha, doubt it.
Good point, ijore, I was thinking the same thing. ✔
Welcome ijore, and good comment.
Gen. Satterfield, well done! I’m afraid however that you are not going to change many minds on this one. Sometimes even smart people believe stupid and wrong things and this is a classic that’s been around for a long time now.
Crazy ideas just keep on a truckin. Why in the world would anyone believe everyone and every culture are the same and none better or worse? That’s ignorance supreme.
Sir, while these ideas are not new, I do appreciate your perspective. The “No culture is superior” is in my thinking pushed by racial minorities who need something to show they are not inferior or their history is inferior. But we all know the truth but just won’t say it out loud, least we get accused of being raaacccccisssssst.
Pow, hit the ball out of da park.
On point 👉. This being passion week that leads to Jesus death and risen from the grave. He showed mankind to live in harmony. One of his greatest commandments was to love ❤️ your neighbors as self. Doing that we will not treat them like we are better because of our education. religion beliefs, race, economic status.
Got that right, Mr. Gilliuam!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need more folks to see that.
Nothing like a classic Gen. Satterfield article.
Once again, Gen. Satterfield is all over putting an end to some stupid belief. It’s like a superstition among liberals/progressives that they believe stuff like this and don’t stop and use their God-given brainpower to actually use logic and facts. Instead, they just take what is given to them by their neo-Marxist betters and run with it. No amount of convincing will change their minds.
Of course, and that is just another reason I come to his website. Recent revelations based on data from Statistics Denmark shed light on a concerning trend: immigrants and their descendants in Denmark were convicted of violent crimes at a significantly higher rate than individuals of Danish origin between 2010 and 2021.
Thanks JT. Spot on. 🤣
This is classic Gen. Satterfield, crushing an old stupid argument that every culture is the same and none is superior. I think this is an outgrowth of the “compassion” movement that we don’t want to make somebody feel bad. Well, feeling bad can be a motivation to do better.
Right. Dumb is still dumb.
He He He nailed it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good reading today folks. and don’t forget the Daily Favorites. Today’s is darn good.
Here is Gen. S.’s main idea “The idea that no culture is superior or inferior to any other is not new. We call this way of thinking Cultural Relativism and is an outgrowth of the ideology of multiculturalism. Many firmly believe this to be true and aggressively defend that position on the grounds that morality knows no bounds, and thus, the value we possess to exist is in of itself an equal good.” – Gen.
