Pending Surgery and Pausing Blog

By | October 9, 2024

[October 9, 2024]  Tomorrow, bright and early, I have outpatient surgery; nothing serious but I will not post an article that day (this Thursday).  Hey, drugs can do wonders for pain but my brain might not be into it.

I promise to quickly return and to start a new series that I believe most will enjoy. Yes, the series will be based on military events at one of the most challenging and difficult times in the history of our war on terror .

A little teaser: the series will be about the Iraq War troop “Surge,” and I will be laying out what it took to ready our military to make it all possible.

With that, I’m signing off for now. Wish me the best. Thanks.

Sir, I’m looking forward to your return and for reading about the “surge” that so many in the military know about but no civilians probably know anything about. As an American Patriot myself, I want to say that we appreciate what you’ve been doing with your blog and as you can see from all the comments that you are loved as well. Keep your spirits up.

Indeed, American Girl. Gen. Satterfield is the BEST. I’ll miss the daily articles but I’m sure when he returns, that we will get a reinvigorated Gen. Satterfield.

Well, I’m surprised but I guess I should not be. For those who do not know, Gen. Satterfield spent 40 years in the army and during military service, your body is going to take a beating from staying in shape and being in combat, like Gen. Satterfield was. As he has noted, Gen. Satterfield maintains this blog by himself and posts freely just so that he can get his ideas out there for us to read and contemplate. We wish you a fast recovery from the surgery and please get back to us as soon as you are able. Don’t rush.

Gen. Satterfield, as others have said, and I agree, please get well quickly and rightly. One day or two won’t matter in the scheme of things. Take the time you need, even if it is longer. Better that you recover properly than rush back to here. In the meantime, I’m going to read again all your letters to your granddaughter. I’ve enjoyed the entire series and it appears to have been your most popular series to far. Good luck and we will be praying for you. 🙏

Please take it easy and do what the doctors tell you. Or, you know what I’m going to say, “Stupid is, as stupid does,” so follow their instructions.

Forrest, you never cease to amaze us. Yes, while we will miss our daily dose of Gen. Satterfield, maybe we can take a few minutes to re-read some of his more popular articles that are listed off to the right side of his webpage.

One of the things that I also recommend is getting a copy of Gen. Satterfield’s books. Now, I’ve noted it before and will note it again that he has two books out and both are great, but are also very different. He has my favorite, “55 Rules for a Good Life.” Get your copy TODAY and don’t miss out.

Gen. Satterfield, can you tell us what the surgery is for? It is day surgery, outpatient surgery, so it cannot be too series. These days, they have alot of robotic surgery that has less drastic effects on you and that means faster recovery and less trauma to the body. Of course, we will miss you daily posts, and if we look back since the beginning of your blog, you rarely ever missed a post. So, please do take the time off and recover. I’m personally looking forward to the next letter in your “letters to my granddaughter” and the continuation of our discussion on how to live a better life.
