[June 03, 2014] This year in 2014, we will be honoring the heroic sacrifices made by American and Allied troops in the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the “war to end all wars.” In this blog, I plan to show how leadership was the deciding factor in the First World War. We at theLeaderMaker.com are privileged to begin this journey.
To start this series and in respect for our military, I begin with 16 photographs of American troops.
There are many websites dedicated to honor those who participated in World War One. Here is a short list of some of my favorites:
- The History Channel: http://www.history.com/topics/world-war-i
- PBS: http://www.pbs.org/greatwar/
- An excellent British website: http://www.greatwar.co.uk/
- Overall very detailed and well organized: http://www.firstworldwar.com/
- An excellent document archive: http://www.topsite.com/goto/wwi.lib.byu.edu
- Wikipedia with general summary: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_I
Here are some famous and not so famous photographs.
