President-Elect Trump vs Hamas

By | December 10, 2024

[December 10. 2024]  The foreign policies of President-Elect Donald Trump are going to be radically different from the Biden Administration. We see this difference most easily regarding the Hamas strategy of holding hostages since October last year.

“Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire World, in the Middle East – But it’s all talk, and no action!  Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20. 2025, the day that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity. Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!“ — President-Elect Donald J. Trump on Truth Social, December 2, 2024

We know from the actions of Joe Biden that there he never took a clear stand against Hamas to return those hostages. In fact, Biden appeared to do everything to hinder Israel’s desire and ability to find and recover their hostages from those held in Gaza. And Biden’s lack of a strong stance has emboldened the hostage-holding terrorists by placating their demands.

If America had taken a hard stance, as we see in Trump’s threat, this war would be over, the hostages returned, and far fewer lives lost. The weak leadership of Biden and his senior administration officials have led us to this place, perpetuating the evils of Hamas.

What can Trump do to bring the hostages home?

  1. He can put political and economic pressure on Qatar and Turkey to use their influence with Hamas.
  2. The threat of removing Turkey from NATO so they lose a number of security guarantees will help.
  3. He can cease the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza until Hamas stops stealing and selling stolen aid.
  4. Allow Israel to annex more territory into their state (or use it as a buffer zone), depriving the terrorists of one of their long-standing objectives.
  5. He can use the U.S. military to prevent the movement of weapons by the Lebanese armed forces into Gaza.

It would be in the best interests of Hamas to agree to a deal now with a weakened U.S. President Biden rather than taking the chance with the incoming Trump. The world knows that any Biden deal will better benefit the terrorists than a Trump deal. The Hamas leadership is used to manipulating America.  They may not realize that Trump brings a totally different dynamic, and the evil terrorists may finally reap the full force of a pissed-off America.

Leaders must be willing to face evil. There can never be a realistic alternative. This is ancient wisdom captured throughout the Bible:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7

What I find most remarkable is that Trump is now in charge with the most influence in the Middle East and Europe, and yet, he does not become President until January 20th next year, more than a month away. Furthermore, Biden has largely faded into the background, doing very little other than traveling to various nations giving American taxpayer money away.

There are other, stronger options. I like the idea that he takes out Iran’s nuclear program. Simple message for them to reign in their proxies

If there is one thing the world has learned about America’s response to the Middle East in general and terrorism is particular (like Hamas) is that when it comes to Donald Trump, they can expect to be crushed if they mess with Americans. If Joe Biden is in charge, America is a wimp and we’ll give them millions of dollars and aid to do anything. America is about to be strong again because a real man is about to be in the White House.

I can’t wait until 20 January 2025 when Trump is sworn in as president. The laughing stock Biden Whitehouse is finally getting their well-deserved boot from the American landscape. The adults are back. Trump’s revenge will be the overwhelming success of America, even if the Democrats will fight him tooth and nail to keep America down so they can play (the fake) savior. Good times will soon be here. As for Hamas, I’d hate to be in their shoes. The last time ISIS terrorists got in the way, they suffered a near complete wipeout. Will this happen to,Hamas? Israel’s IDF has nearly done so and with great precision. The US military has less experience doing so. Let’s see how Trump employs all asessts to crush Hamas once and for all.

Very Interesting that Trump is getting things done and yet he is not the president. But, where is Biden and Harris? They should be fully engaged. If nothing else, they should be working hard on insuring a smooth transition. I don’t see that happening ( other than perhaps at the lower staff levels).

What I find shocking ,from an American perspective, is that Pres. Biden NEVER demanded that the Hamas terrorists release all the American hostages. But Biden did pander to them by trying to meet their demands. And how’d that work out? Failure. And no hostages were released. Worse, Biden hindered Israel and put unethical pressures on the Israeli government. Biden will go down in history as the worst president, even worse than Jimmie Carter.

Yeah, I was also wondering why he didn’t do this. Shame on both Harris and slow-Joey Biden.

I guess someday we will get the reason this most obvious choice was not made. Although I, for the life of me, can’t understand what Joe Biden or his staff were thinking other than pandering to the terrorists.

The world is already starting to adjust itself for anticipation of President Trump. Just look at the United Nations. I’m sure they’re expecting Trump to cut a huge amount of American funding and maybe, kick their ass out of the US. Now, that would be great.

Now, that would be historic. The UN has outlived its usefulness and has become counterproductive.

It now looks like the country of Turkey is the linchpin in Pres. Trump’s policy to hammer Hamas. Turkey is an unusual and anti-Western nation. I don’t see how Trump can make progress with them. But Trump has pulled a number of rabbits out of his hat over time that continue to surprise. 🐇 The biggest plus here is that the US Department of State will have some real guidance and no longer led by the Deep Swamp. World progress is right around the corner. As a side note, the US and the West dodged a big bullet by not having Kamala Harris as president. She would have been a disaster and worse than Biden if you can imagine someone worse than him and The Biden Crime Family.

Gays, crazy that the world has become such a mess in so short of time. How we got here is no easy answer and we may never know, but occasionally comes along a great leader to help put things right. Let us wish and pray that it is Donald Trump. We know and have known that it was not and never could be Joe Biden. Remember everyone that Gen. Satterfield, right here in these pages ska so four years ago. In his leadership comparison.

It is to be expected that Pres. Trump would have different – perhaps radically different foreign policies – from Pres. Biden. Trump, ran on taking America in a different direction and part of that was to get us out of war and stay out of war. It looks like Trump, plans to use economic pressures to push warring nations into peace. Whether this will work out like he wants is yet to be determined. I’ll wait and see.

Mr. Asper, if my memory is correct, you are a high school teacher. Has this election season provided you with material for your classroom? We are living in historic times that will be studied for many years. Thanks and good luck.

Lady Hawk, yes indeed, I do teach HS students and I’ve had a good and satisfying career. I’ll be retiring, hopefully, at the end of this school year. I’ve had hundreds of students that I taught how to think, the opposite of many of my teacher peers who want to teach kids what to think. The formal education system has gone downhill fast, despite all the money dumped into it. Those that gained the most are school administrators, the students are the big losers.

Yes, that is right and those opposed to world peace are on the wrong side of history.
