SCOTUS Justice Sotomayor’s Political Hack Job

[July 11, 2024]  Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor delivered a dissenting opinion on the majority opinion that presidents are immune from prosecution for actions related to their core duties.  Her hysterics show that she is nothing but a political hack and seriously uneducated on U.S. law, the military, and American culture, or, more likely, she wants to be a Democrat Party lapdog.

“In his majority opinion, Chief Justice John Roberts concluded that presidents are immune from prosecution for actions related to their core duties and enjoy presumptive immunity for other official actions, but can be prosecuted for actions taken in their personal capacity.” – N.Y. Post, 7 July 2024

The decision by the majority of the Supreme Court is exactly what legal scholars and the average citizen expected all along.  President Donald Trump successfully argued that the Executive Branch of government would become irrelevant or ineffective if this were not the case.  Common sense, right?  Apparently, not for Sotomayor.

“Orders the Navy’s Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival?  Immune.  Organizes a military coup to hold onto power?  Immune.  Takes a bribe in exchange for a pardon?  Immune.  Immune, immune, immune,” – Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor

Her dissenting opinion is hogwash, and she knows it.  Immediately, she received pushback from across the political spectrum, and the ordinary American citizen sat back, thinking she had lost her marbles.  Her far-fetched hyperbole was so backward even radical leftists are giving her a wide birth and denouncing her nutty dissent.

There is a more important point here.  The U.S. Supreme Court has crushed many of the Left’s ideologically-driven agenda this year and shows us that those same radicals are on the wrong side of the U.S. Constitution.  That is good for all Americans, notwithstanding the hysterics on display by the three liberal women on the court.

    Justice. A major mistake was appointed of supreme court Judges for life. What happenings in the highest court of the land is I can do what I want and nothing you can do about. A crying shame.

    It saddens me to see a justice at that level devolve into a political hack. That is what happens when you fall for the neo-meta Marxism that is flowing around the world today that shows itself in anti-Americanism (wow, and Sotomayor falls for it) and antisemitism. These are dangerous trends, and our leaders should inoculate themselves against such thinking. Justice Sotomayor and Justice Jackson (I can’t define what a woman is) are on the list of ideologically-driven hacks that is the mark of an intellectual failure and a danger to America. And we see a lot of that in President Joe Biden who just failed at a “big boy” conference that he stuttered thru and showed us his utter incompetence.

    Gen. Satterfield, spot-on article today and one I must agree with. We are fortunate to have a great country here in the United States, despite people like Sotomayor who works hard to drag us down into the Marx ideological hell hole. She does her best and it is a great thing people see her for what she truly is.

      Yes, good catch, Maximilian. This is indeed an important – a most important – point not to be overlooked. Leftists want the laws built in their favor because they know, deep down, that most people would reject those ideas if they knew about them. So, we have political hack Sotomayor coming to their rescue.
