Standing Strong: Alejandro Villanueva

By | March 22, 2022

[March 22, 2022]  A society that has many of its members standing strong against the evils that permeate our world is a fortunate society.  A recent article by Coffee or Die Magazine staff writer Mac Caltrider1 highlights the remarkable life of NFL star and former Army Ranger Alejandro Villanueva.  Wow, well done!

“Villanueva served in the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division and 75th Ranger Regiment, deploying three times to Afghanistan.  He graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, in 2010.  As a rifle platoon commander, Villanueva served in Afghanistan in 2011 with the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, of the 10th Mountain Division.”

Alejandro is a young man.  He knows what right looks like, how to succeed even under the most arduous conditions, and is the type of man you want at your side when the going gets tough.

“When Villanueva’s unit was ambushed by a squad of Taliban fighters, three of his men were quickly wounded.  Braving enemy fire, Villanueva dragged [a wounded soldier to safety.] … Villanueva led the effort to relocate the three casualties, carrying one of them on his shoulders.  For his courage under fire, Villanueva was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for valor.”

Serving in the famed 1st Ranger Battalion, he deployed for two more combat tours in Afghanistan.  That’s not all he has done.  During his six seasons with the Pittsburg Steelers, he started in a franchise-record 91 games and helped the Steelers win three AFC-North championships.  He played his final NFL season with the Baltimore Ravens.  You can count on men like this for their patriotism.

“During his time in the NFL, the offensive tackle built a reputation in the league as an ardent supporter of the armed forces.  In 2020, Villanueva wore Sgt. 1st Class Alwyn Cashe’s name on his helmet to highlight the fight to have Cashe’s Silver Star upgraded to the Medal of Honor.”

In a radio interview, Alejandro said that he would be willing to return to active duty if the current Ukraine War escalated.  This man does not like standing on the sidelines.

“I think most veterans if there’s a war, you don’t want to see somebody else go fight it.” – Alejandro Villanueva

You can’t beat that!  Standing strong!

STRONG, CAPABLE, EARNEST. Fine qualities for a real man, an American man. Too few of them out there for me. Now look at the imbecile who is the US Pres and the total nutwing that’s called our VP. Great contrast.

Villanueva entered the NFL in 2014 after attending West Point and did several tours in Afghanistan before joining the Steelers in 2014. He went on to start 90 games in Pittsburgh and make two Pro Bowls before making the jump to their AFC North rivals last year.

Very good guy. Wish him the best. Ravens were forced to rely on him way more than they wanted to and he was overmatched and playing hurt much of the season.

Don’t be too surprised that America is full of patriots and that they are standing up to the tyrants around the world and at home [like the tyrants in canada and usa]. Watch out for those who want to control others. this is a human condition that must always have the brakes put onto them.

Excellent article, once again, Gen. Satterfield. I’m no football fan and therefore had no idea he existed but now I see for myself that there are many more heroes of the US that are out there that deserve the credit they get.

Let us not forget that there are many folks like this guy. Many more than we might imagine. While most will surely not be up to the physical strength of Aljandro Villaneuva, they surely have the mental prowess. That is what makes our nation, American, so powerful … we encourage those like him.

This is what real men are like, not the wimpy, limp-dick, college snowflakes we have that call themselves justice “warriors.” Nothing could be further from a warrior than a woke snowflake (are they even men at all).

Snowflakes to the left and snowflakes to the rear. Never will you find a snowflake out front because that requires something they will never possess. COURAGE !!!!!!
