[June 10, 2014] On my way to JFK Airport in New York City last week, I discovered by accident a really good radio station that had Howard Schultz discussing the concept of success and how really difficult it can be. What intrigued was that the radio station was dedicated to leadership topics.
Good leaders are always looking for ways to learn more about leadership, how to avoid mistakes, and learn from current business, political, and military leaders. One way that may be surprising to many is listening to the radio … or listening to webcasts and podcasts of radio programs on the Internet.
Here are some current programs that I found worthwhile (mostly pre-recorded):
- Executive Leaders Radio – http://executiveleadersradio.com/
- Christian Leadership Radio – http://christianleadershipradio.com/category/radio-archives
- Blog Talk Radio – http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ (type “leadership” in the search feature)
- Impact Teams Radio – http://impactteamsradio.com
- Leadership Point Radio – http://www.leadershippoint.com/
- Bam! Radio Pulse (on education) – http://pulse.bamradionetwork.com/
[Don’t forget to “Like” the Leader Maker at our Facebook Page.]

[Definitions] A webcast means that audio content uses streaming media content technology to distribute a radio source. A podcast (or netcast) is a audio, video, ePub, etc. that is pre-recorded in a format that can be downloaded anytime. Some webcasts and podcasts are subscription only.
